Hi there,
My name is Nilo Hejabian; owner, director and teacher of Pearlite Montessori Home at 453 Ray Street in Portland and 440 Ocean Street in South Portland. I have wanted to work with children as far back as I can remember! I have previously worked with preschoolers in different countries and worked with two Montessori school here in Maine as a teacher and head teacher. I love working with children and finally after years decided to open my own facility.
I can speak different languages and enjoy arts, craft, music and dance. In 2013 I married my husband, Ceyhan, who helps me out when he can as a sub teacher and assistant. The children love him, and I am glad he is here to offer a male role model to both the young girls and boys. We have two daughters Seran and Selin. I am excited to offer my children friends and "siblings" with whom to learn and grow.
